Join DW Softball and our incredible coaching staff on Thursday, August 6th and Friday, August 7th for our EPIC Sliding, Diving & Baserunning Clinic!

This high-energy 2-day clinic is built for athletes who are ready to compete hard, learn new skills, and get DIRTY! Sliding and diving will be a major focus throughout the event — and yes… there WILL be a Slip ’N Slide!

All ages and skill levels are welcome and will be grouped accordingly.

Why Baserunning?

Hitting, pitching, and defense often steal the spotlight, but baserunning can completely change the outcome of a game. Baserunning is an art — a game-changing skill that creates pressure, scores runs, and essentially wins ballgames.

Great baserunners are more than just fast. When speed is paired with aggressiveness, confidence, and strong game awareness, it becomes a lethal combination.

Safe & Smart

To help teach proper sliding, diving, and baserunning fundamentals, we’ve brought together an amazing group of current and former softball players who know exactly how it’s done.

Our coaches will be right in the action with you, demonstrating techniques and helping athletes safely build confidence in their movements. Players will learn:

• Proper sliding and diving mechanics
• Different types of slides and when to use them
• Safe form and movement
• Situational baserunning strategies including tagging up, force plays, tag plays, rundowns, and more

Speed & Agility

Each day will also include a strong emphasis on speed and agility training specifically designed for being successful on the basepaths.

Players can expect to improve:

• First-step quickness
• Timing
• Reading the ball and the defense
• Game awareness and IQ
• Overall confidence and aggressive approach
